TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh Meets Prime Minister Modi

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) General Secretary and Andhra Pradesh Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in New Delhi on May 17, accompanied by his wife Brahmani Nara and their son Devaansh.

The meeting centred on the state’s development initiatives and Andhra Pradesh’s contribution towards the national vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) by 2047.

In a post on X, Nara Lokesh expressed his honour in meeting the Prime Minister and thanked him for his continued support towards Andhra Pradesh’s progress.

“I expressed my gratitude to the Prime Minister for his continued support towards the state’s growth. I thanked him for his strong and decisive leadership, whilst also seeking guidance on how the state could further contribute to his vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047,” Lokesh wrote.

He also sought PM Modi’s guidance on how the state could further align with and contribute to the ambitious goals of ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.

Brahmani Nara Praises PM Modi’s Leadership

Brahmani Nara, Executive Director of Heritage Foods and daughter-in-law of TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu, also conveyed her admiration for the Prime Minister.

Sharing her thoughts on X, she stated, “It was an honour to meet India’s Prime Minister, Shri @narendramodi Ji along with @naralokesh and Devaansh.”

Brahmani described PM Modi as ‘one of the greatest Prime Ministers ever, consistently working hard towards transforming India into a global superpower’, calling the meeting a ‘most cherished memory’.

During the meeting, Nara Lokesh also highlighted the setbacks Andhra Pradesh faced between 2019 and 2024.

He alleged that the state’s development, particularly the progress of Amaravati as its capital, was intentionally obstructed due to a ‘personal vendetta’ against then Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

This claim underscores the political challenges the state has experienced in recent years.

The discussions with PM Modi reflect Andhra Pradesh’s eagerness to contribute to India’s broader development agenda.

Lokesh emphasised the importance of collaboration between the state and the central government to achieve sustainable growth and prosperity, positioning Andhra Pradesh as a key player in realising the ‘Viksit Bharat’ vision.

The visit by Nara Lokesh, accompanied by his family, to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi symbolises Andhra Pradesh’s renewed focus on development aligned with national priorities.

Praising the PM’s leadership and seeking guidance for future initiatives, the delegation reaffirmed their commitment to advancing the state’s progress within the framework of India’s vision for 2047.
