On Monday, the Supreme Court is due to hear a case involving the demolition campaign to remove allegedly unlawful structures close to the Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.

Removal of unlawful constructions
The demolition campaign being carried out by the railway officials to remove the allegedly unlawful constructions was paused by the apex court when it was hearing the case on August 16 for a period of 10 days.

Several homes destroyed
The petitioner’s attorney had informed the Supreme Court on August 16 that 100 homes had been destroyed.
