A newly surfaced video has revealed shocking details in the case of a Class 12 student from Haryana’s Faridabad, who was allegedly chased and killed by cow vigilantes. The incident occurred on August 24, when the victim, Aryan Mishra, was traveling with friends in a red Renault Duster. The group was mistakenly identified as cattle smugglers by the vigilantes.
The CCTV footage, captured at the Gadpuri toll plaza on the Agra-Delhi national highway, shows the accused men pursuing Aryan’s car in a Maruti Suzuki Swift at approximately 3 am. Seconds later, Aryan was shot dead.
During interrogation, the five arrested men—Anil Kaushik, Varun, Krishna, Adesh, and Saurabh—admitted to receiving information on the night of August 23 about suspected cattle smugglers in two SUVs conducting reconnaissance in the city. When they spotted the Duster, they believed it to be one of the vehicles they were looking for.

The vigilantes attempted to stop the car, driven by Aryan’s friend Harshit, but the group did not comply. Fearing that they were being targeted due to a feud involving their friend Shanky, they decided not to stop. The accused then pursued the vehicle and opened fire. The first bullet struck Aryan near the neck while he was seated in the passenger seat.
After the car finally stopped, the shooters, believing they might be fired upon, shot Aryan again, this time in the chest. Aryan was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries a day later.
All five accused have been arrested and presented in a city court, where they have been remanded to judicial custody.
