Police revealed a shocking incident where a head constable and nearly a dozen other individuals reportedly assaulted a 23-year-old MCA student named Ayush Dwivedi. The group allegedly abducted Ayush from the Civil Lines area while he was meeting someone, taking him five kilometres away to Cooperganj where they subjected him to severe abuse.
The assault on Ayush stemmed from a previous case filed under Section 307 (attempt to murder) against him in October by the head constable, leading to this retaliation. The assailants, after kidnapping Ayush, forced him to drink their urine, lick their spit from slippers, and even fire a bullet that narrowly missed him.

Law enforcement acted swiftly, arresting three individuals, including the head constable Dharmendra Yadav from the Local Intelligence Unit, Ayush Mishra (23), and Nandu Dubey (45), both residents of Kalyanpur, in connection with the incident. Efforts are underway to apprehend others involved, currently evading arrest.
The suspended head constable will face both legal action and a departmental inquiry. Additionally, an investigation involving multiple teams aims to track down the remaining perpetrators.

Ayush had arrived at Civil Lines with a friend upon receiving an Instagram request to meet a girl, only to be forcibly taken by the group, including Himanshu Yadav, Shubham Sonkar, Nandu Dubey, Ishant Chauhan, Ayush Mishra, Rajat, Mohit, and two others, at gunpoint.
They transported Ayush to the railway tracks near Cooperganj, where the situation escalated. The assailants subjected Ayush to horrific abuse, with the head constable allegedly being part of the assault, including forcing Ayush to consume their urine.
The police have registered a case against eight named individuals and two unnamed persons under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including rioting charges, voluntarily causing hurt, kidnapping with intent to murder, attempt to murder, and unnatural offences.
