Aditi Nandan is a young Bihari individual who, after pursuing higher education at Delhi University, decided to return to Bihar, leaving behind opportunities in large multinational companies and organizations. Not only did he think about returning, but he took action and started several institutions and companies to bring positive change to Bihar, a state facing challenges.
Aditi Nandan’s career
He began his career in advertising and marketing to initiate change in Bihar’s conditions. Aditi, along with two of his friends, started working in the field of Bihar tourism, which had remained relatively unexplored and untapped in the context of Bihar’s potential for employment and development. To understand tourism in Bihar, he traveled extensively throughout all of Bihar’s 38 districts, discovering many new places that had not been documented or written about before. His photos and collected information can be instrumental in promoting Bihar tourism and realizing its vast potential.

In 2012, Aditi Nandan was extended an invitation by the Bihar government in recognition of his work. His contributions continued to receive support and encouragement from both the government and various organizations. He has authored 24 books, and his research in the field of Bihar tourism has played a pivotal role in inspiring the government to introduce innovative initiatives. Notably, he presented a paper titled “Strategy for Tourism in Bihar” at the Bihar Global Partnership Summit in 2012 and also spoke at the 2013 India-Japan Global Partnership Summit.
Mr. Nandan and his team have played a significant role in reviving the reputation of three well-known brands in Bihar – Amartya Media, Artize India (recognized and funded by the industry department), and Extram Roads. Over the last three to four years, they have extensively studied nearly 200 rock shelters in Bihar, which have paintings dating back to the Stone Age, located in areas affected by Naxal violence or in remote villages.
Now, let’s talk about the Grand Trunk Road Initiative, which Aditi Nandan and his team have initiated, and which has had several successful events since its inception in 2021. This initiative has seen over 100 speakers who are successful individuals from Bihar or have a deep connection to Bihar and a desire to bring about change.
