Following protests by Brahmin community organizations, political parties have begun criticizing the Yogi government, with Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav alleging that government officials are protecting the murder suspects. Yadav also alluded to a connection with the Sarojininagar incident, though he did not provide explicit details.
Rajeshwar Singh, MLA from Sarojini Nagar, Lucknow, criticized Former CM Akhilesh Yadav for politicizing the tragedy. Singh posted on X:
