On March 25, 2025, Madhubala Mahajan from Bhilwara, Rajasthan, took a firm stand against the derogatory comments made by Sonia Gandhi towards President Droupadi Murmu.
Mahajan, who has been vocal about her support for the nation’s first citizen, organized a protest at Jantar Mantar, Delhi, demanding an apology from Sonia Gandhi.
Mahajan emphasized that the comments made by Sonia Gandhi, where she referred to President Murmu as a ‘poor lady’, were disrespectful not just to the President, but to the entire nation.
A Call For Unity & Respect
The protest comes as Mahajan and her supporters urge all citizens of India to stand in solidarity and condemn the comments made by the Congress leader.
In her speech, Mahajan stressed that President Murmu represents the strength and dignity of the nation’s Matri Shakti (Mother Power), and such remarks are a direct insult to the nation’s values.
She emphasized the importance of unity, particularly when it comes to showing respect for the highest office in the land.
She called upon various organizations, media agencies, and citizens to join in this protest, whether by participating at Jantar Mantar or by voicing their opposition in their local areas.
Nationwide Demonstration For President’s Dignity
The protest seeks not only an apology from Sonia Gandhi but also to reaffirm the respect for the President as the country’s first citizen.
Mahajan has rallied a variety of organizations under the banner of ‘Bharat Raksha Manch’ and other Hindu and national organizations to join her in this cause.
These groups include the Hindu Mahasabha, the United Hindu Front, the Bhagat Singh Kranti Dal, and other prominent movements, all voicing their disapproval of Sonia Gandhi’s comments and demanding an apology.
Political Backlash & Call For Accountability
Mahajan criticized the Congress party’s tradition of undermining the dignity of marginalized communities, especially women, tribals, and Dalits, and argued that Sonia Gandhi’s actions were in line with such practices.
She further emphasized that the nation would not tolerate any disrespect towards the President, who is seen as a symbol of the country’s strength and unity.
As part of the ongoing movement, Mahajan and the participating organizations are urging citizens to raise their voices against this disrespect through media, social platforms, and local demonstrations.
Those unable to attend the protest at Jantar Mantar are organizing their own demonstrations in cities and towns, submitting memorandums to local authorities demanding Sonia Gandhi’s apology.
In conclusion, the protest urges the restoration of the President’s dignity and calls for respect for India’s highest office from all political figures.
The movement is gaining momentum and calls for widespread support to uphold national integrity and values.
