India posted 211/6 after choosing to bat first, with Abhishek Sharma providing a quick 61.
Tilak Varma then produced a crucial unbeaten 51 off 22 balls to take India beyond the 200-run mark.
Pakistan put up a strong response but finished at 192/6 in 20 overs.
Hasan Nawaz led the chase with 96, but India held its composure in the closing stages. Axar Patel, Washington Sundar and Shiv Dube took two wickets each to seal the 19-run win.
The result allowed India to retain the men’s Asian Games cricket title after winning gold at the 2023 edition. It further completed a cricket double for India at Aichi-Nagoya, with the women’s team having earlier secured gold after defeating Sri Lanka.
India’s victory in the high-profile India-Pakistan final added another major highlight to the country’s Asian Games campaign and extended its dominance in the cricket competition.
