“Discoursed about Hamas, not any community,” Rajeev Chandrasekhar criticizes Pinarayi for endorsing radicalization

Kochi: A day after Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar made offensive remarks about the Hindu community following the Kalamassery explosions, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan threatened to sue BJP leaders for their actions. The minister then defended his social media posts.

Referring to the October 28 online speech delivered by former Hamas leader Khaled Mashal at a meeting in Malappuram organized in favor of Palestine, he remarked, “Both the Left and Congress have been allowing radical elements to grow in the state.””I never mentioned any specific community. ‘Hamas’ was stated particularly. Pinarayi seems to be trying to compare Hamas to a single community, he said.

Chandrasekhar also cited the Elathur train arson case, which was once written off as the work of a mentally sick individual. The accused’s ties to terrorism were subsequently established by the NIA.”Kerala has demonstrated a growing tolerance for extreme forces and radicalization under Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Whether it was the intentional attempt at terrorism by Kozhikode to burn a train, which if successful would have resulted in over 200–300 deaths, or the portrayal of that individual as mentally ill until it was discovered that he was an ISIS sympathiser. The minister continued, “In Kerala, there is a history of both the Congress and the Left appeasing radical elements.”

a front for his incompetence as Home Minister. He stated, “The INDIA alliance is also quick to unfairly blame the BJP and RSS for being communally charged.”

Chandrasekhar went to the Government Medical College in Kalamassery to see the attack victims.”I’ve come here to visit these patients and the victims of this bomb blast in order to check on their progress on behalf of the government, all of my colleagues, and myself. After this, I’m going to the bomb blast site. I am appreciative of the hospital staff for their care and life-saving efforts. After visiting the hospital, Chandrasekhar remarked, “It is undoubtedly a very difficult time for the families of those who lost their loved ones.” And he said he’d comment about the case later.

During the course of Sunday’s triple blasts at the international convention center in Kalamassery, where members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, a minority Christian sect, had convened for the penultimate day of a three-day prayer meeting, three people were killed and over fifty injured.

Chandrasekhar attacked the social media platform X shortly after the tragedy, criticizing the state administration and claiming that the attack on innocent Christians was caused by Kerala’s backing for “Terrorist Jihad.”Dominic Martin, a Jehovah’s Witness, subsequently admitted to the crime.

Pinarayi was particularly scathing of the Union Minister’s remarks, which were deceptive and “communal” in nature, even though he did not name the minister.”This is a very biased strategy that is obviously meant to single out a specific community. It’s on their agenda as a community,” Pinarayi remarked. “What is the foundation for his statements? Did he have any sensitive information about him that would have led him to say such? This is a serious problem. People ought not to be duped. We’ll pursue legal action on this,” declared the Chief Minister.

Prior to Dominic Martin’s admission, Chandrasekhar had also stated that the explosion occurred within twenty-four hours after the LDF government authorized an event in which a Hamas representative encouraged people to violence directed upon unbelievers.

Legal action would be taken, according to the Chief Minister, against any comments made by union ministers or anonymous users on social media that are motivated by communal sentiment.
