The Sector 39 Police in Noida have arrested six individuals for committing credit card fraud by illegally increasing credit card limits. The police recovered several valuable items, including a laptop, 28 mobile phones from different companies, 12 silver coins, 4 gold coins, an i10 car, and a Jupiter scooter.

The arrests were made near Godrej Building, Sector 39, Noida. Police recovered the stolen items from the suspects’ possession.
Modus Operandi of the Fraudsters
During the investigation, the suspects confessed to using fake websites to lure credit card holders. They contacted people offering to increase their credit card limits and directed them to fake websites that resembled legitimate banking sites.
Once the victim visited the website, they were asked to provide personal details, including credit card information, PAN, Aadhaar details, and mobile number. The fraudsters used this data to make unauthorized transactions, purchasing expensive items like mobile phones and precious metals from e-commerce websites such as Flipkart.
Criminal Background
The arrested suspects have been linked to an ongoing case under sections 318(4), 336(3), 340(2), 339 BNS, and 66D of the IT Act, at Sector 39 Police Station, Gautam Buddh Nagar.
