Over nine speakers from various fields gave presentations at the event, which was organized by Chinmaya Mission.

According to reports in the media, a one-day Civil (C20) meeting as part of G20 events was held in Gangtok, Sikkim, on Saturday under the theme “Dharma, Ecology, Media, and Entertainment.”

Over nine speakers from various fields gave presentations at the event, which was organized by Chinmaya Mission.

The event was attended by Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya of Sikkim. Arun Upreti, the speaker of the Sikkim Legislative Assembly, and Swami Mitranandaji, a resident mentor of Chinmaya Mission, were among the other people who attended the event. Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya made the suggestion in his speech that the discussions from the C20 should reach the rural areas of Sikkim and India as a whole.

The Governor said, “Sikkim people are aware of the environment and believe in forest deities and worship them,” describing how Sikkim has been an environment-worshipping society. Concerns about the environment should receive more attention from us. We have the ability to make that adjustment. The young people are the nation’s and the state’s future. Under Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, we must return to the state of being together. The C20 and G20 will restore that.”

In a similar vein, in his address, speaker Arun Upreti stated, “Sikkim being an example of unity in diversity, every possible step is being undertaken for social, economic, and political justice for the people.”

Inhabitant tutor of Chinmaya Mission Master Mitranandaji said, “India is giving a peep into old India and to consider the whole earth to be one family and not similarly as people. This is an example of a disruptive; individual; Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is seen by those with great vision. This C20 discussion is taking place because of the means by which we bring people together.

The Swami thanked Sikkim for performing this national duty by hosting the event there.

At the event, Sikkim’s social specialists Lakpa Moktan and Phurba Wangdi were congratulated.
