‘Significant Chapter’: Chandrababu Naidu Hails PM Modi’s 25-Year Public Service Journey

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 25 years in high executive office, describing the milestone as a significant chapter in his public service journey.

In a post on X, Naidu said India was fortunate to have PM Modi’s leadership at a crucial time and linked his tenure with the country’s progress towards the goal of Viksit Bharat 2047. He highlighted the Prime Minister’s leadership and expressed his support for the development of Andhra Pradesh under the state’s ‘double-engine’ government.

Naidu said the partnership with PM Modi was helping advance development, investment, infrastructure and opportunities in Andhra Pradesh while pursuing the vision of a prosperous and developed state. He extended his congratulations and best wishes to the Prime Minister on completing 25 years of public service.

PM Modi’s journey in high executive office began with his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister in 2001 before he became Prime Minister in 2014.

The period has included a major expansion of infrastructure, with national highways crossing 146,000 km, airports increasing from 74 to more than 160 and renewable energy capacity exceeding 296 GW.

Government initiatives such as PM Gati Shakti, expanded welfare coverage and rural tap-water connections have been central to the development agenda.

The government has highlighted the movement of 24.8 crore people out of multidimensional poverty between 2013-14 and 2022-23.

Digital Public Infrastructure, Production Linked Incentive schemes and policies supporting semiconductors, quantum technology and private space companies have further shaped the economic agenda.

The 25-year journey has included efforts to strengthen global partnerships and cooperative federalism, with the government framing these initiatives as part of the broader objective of building a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
