Shivraj Singh Chouhan Releases First Installment Of ‘Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana’; Addresses Public

Mr. Chouhan stated that the scheme was created for poor and lower-middle-class women so that they do not suffer for small needs.

Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan addressed the public on the occasion of the Releases First Installment Of ‘Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana’ held at Jabalpur. He initiated his address by paying his regards to the women of India. He referred to women as the protector of the world.

He said, “Today is a wonderful and historic day. Women have always been respected in India; it is part of the Indian culture.” He further took reference of Hindu Gods and Goddesses to highlight that women always come first.

The scheme born out of CM’s heart

CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan discussed how women in India are being disrespected and they are facing issues related to injustice. He further added that the injustice was taken away from society by the BJP government under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He congratulated the PM on completing 9 years in the government.

Mr. Chouhan stated that the scheme was created for poor and lower-middle-class women so that they do not suffer for small needs. In addition to this, he said that he felt hurt looking at the weak status of women in society and this scheme is born out of that pain.

The traditional importance of the day selected by Shivraj Singh Chouhan

According to tradition in many parts of the nation, brother gift their sisters money, clothes etc. Referring to the same tradition, the Minister referred to himself as the brother of all the women in the state. Hence, he is giving money to women in the state. Mr. Chouhan promised Rs. 1,000 per month and Rs. 12000 on an annual basis. The pension of old women was also declared to be Rs. 1000 per month.

Targeting Congress in the speech

Mr. Chouhan attacked Congress during his speech and said, “When the Congress government came, the scheme was discontinued. Kamalnath government had discontinued many schemes. I used to pay Rs. 4,000 for the birth of boys and girls both and later Rs. 12,000 was given while Congress discontinued that too.”

Later in his speech he condemned Congress and said, “These Congress people have not good intentions; they cannot do you any good. These are liars to beware of.”

Progress of the scheme

Chief Minister expressed that this was just the initial stage of the scheme. The amount of money will gradually increase from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1,250, Rs.1,500, and finally to Rs. 3,000. He said that the life of women will change and the future of the children will become, the festival will be easier for my sisters to make other arrangements

Steps taken by the state government to improve the condition of women in the state

The state already has multiple schemes running to benefit the women in society. Chief Minister Kanya Dan Yojana is aimed at providing aid for marriage ceremonies. Also, 50 percent of the seats are reserved for women at the time of elections. Hence, women are able to come up and be elected as Panch, Sarpanch, Councillor, Municipal President, and Mayor. women are also getting a chance to be Police officers with 30 percent reservation.

Further, Mr. Chouhan expressed his heartfelt wish for women to actually progress and grow in life. He wants women in the society to be millionaires. They must earn at least Rs. 10,000 a month. He promised that BJP will make it possible. He further wished Good Luck to all of them.
