SDM Jyoti Maurya has been in discourse for the last three months for reasons of not-so-good taste. Allegations of betrayal were showered upon the lady when she filed a divorce case. It was soon followed by floods of memes, nasty jokes, and insensitive songs and everything got murkier since then.
Jyoti’s husband Alok Maurya has now filed a complaint against her alleging that she has been manipulative in deals and transactions and has been taking bribes from different sources while working as general manager in a sugar mill in Bareilly. He also stated that Jyoti has maintained a diary listing those financial deals in her own handwriting.
The recruitment department has ordered an inquiry against PCS officer Jyoti Maurya in this case for which Prayagraj’s commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant is on the investigation. As soon as the order was received, Pant also formed a committee to investigate from his level.
A few days ago, former IPS officer Amitabh Thakur claimed that Alok Maurya had made available some pages of Jyoti’s diary to him. He has complained about this to the Lokayukta.

Jyoti Maurya once again seems to be in soup and this time for some serious concerns. The PCS officer made headlines earlier for allegedly having an affair with Home Guard commandant Manish Dubey. Her husband claimed that he supported her studies and preparation for the UPPSC examinations and she chose to be with the commandant after she got placed as an SDM.
