Earlier dead body of a professor was found. Notably, the advocate has written the petition citing the media reports.

The petition highlights the alarming trend of suicides in Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh.

The petition, filed seeking suo-motu intervention, cites three suicides within just 26 days at TMU, including two students and one professor.

The incidents include the death of Osho Raj Chaudhary, a 28-year-old MD (Anaesthesia) student found hanging in his hostel room. Earlier, Akshat Jain, a 21-year-old BBA student, and Aditi Malhotra, a 32-year-old assistant professor, also died under similar circumstances.

Additionally, in a separate tragic event in Meerut district, a desperate father and his teenage daughter consumed poison due to financial distress over education expenses.

Jogendra Prajapati, a 50-year-old mason, and his 17-year-old daughter Khushi tragically ended their lives after he couldn’t afford her school fees despite her scoring 75% in her 10th grade exams.

The petition urges the Supreme Court to order a CBI inquiry monitored by the court into these incidents, emphasizing the urgency and gravity of the situation.

The petition, supported by a detailed newspaper report, underscores the need for immediate judicial intervention to ensure justice in these distressing cases.
