The fourth Monday of Sawan drew a massive gathering of devotees to Haridwar’s Dakshin Kali Temple.
The spiritual congregation brought attention to the intense practice of Niranjani Akhara’s Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri Maharaj.
Despite severe physical discomfort, the revered seer continued his spiritual practice for 27 hours. He remained steadfast even as intense pain in his legs made standing extremely difficult.
Devotees watched him remain immersed in meditation. Many described his unwavering devotion as a source of inspiration. His ascetic presence led devotees to perceive what they regarded as a manifestation of Shiva within him.
Acharya Pramod Krishnam Ji Maharaj witnessed the spiritual practice on Sunday. He said that he could see the essence of Shiva within Swami Kailashanand Giri.
The meeting between the two spiritual leaders became an emotional moment for devotees gathered at the temple.
Swami Kailashanand Giri’s physical condition remains challenging. Yet, his commitment to spiritual discipline has remained firm. He has continued his practice despite the pain and difficulty associated with standing for prolonged periods.
The intense 27-hour vigil has consequently emerged as a major attraction at the Dakshin Kali Temple during Sawan.
Devotees continue to gather to witness the practice and draw inspiration from the saint’s determination.
The occasion has highlighted the traditional values of penance, sacrifice and unwavering resolve.
For devotees, the spiritual atmosphere at the temple has turned the fourth Monday of Sawan into a deeply significant occasion.
