Sandeshkhali women meets PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with women who were victims of sexual assault in the village of Sandeshkhali, West Bengal, on Wednesday. According to sources within the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Prime Minister listened to their stories patiently, offering support akin to a father figure. The victims were deeply moved by the PM’s empathy towards their suffering.
Sandeshkhali, located in North 24 Parganas, has been rocked by allegations of sexual assault against local Trinamool Congress leader Sheikh Shahjahan and his associates. Shahjahan, alias ‘Bhai,’ was arrested last week in connection with the accusations.

Before his rally in Barasat, PM Modi criticized Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee regarding the situation in Sandeshkhali. He condemned the incident as shameful, accusing the TMC government of shielding the perpetrators. Modi highlighted the legal interventions from both the high court and the Supreme Court, suggesting that the repercussions of the Sandeshkhali incident would resonate across West Bengal.
