Samsung Electronics Executive Chairman Lee Jae-yong on Monday clicked a selfie with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and South Korean President Lee Jae Myung during a state luncheon at the company’s Noida facility. The moment underscored Samsung’s manufacturing presence in India and followed high-level bilateral discussions.
The leaders also interacted with prominent business figures from both nations, reinforcing economic cooperation.
Prior to the luncheon, they posed for a group photograph with industry representatives, creating a platform for continued commercial dialogue.

Samsung has maintained a strong manufacturing base in India, producing mobile phones at its Noida plant since 1996. The facility manufactures a wide spectrum of devices, ranging from entry-level handsets to advanced flagship and foldable smartphones.
President Lee is currently on a multi-nation visit covering India and Vietnam, accompanied by a large business delegation.
Lee Jae-yong is scheduled to attend the Korea-India Business Forum, which includes participation from around 250 Korean business leaders.
Key industry figures such as Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, and LG Chairman Koo Kwang-mo are also attending.
During his visit, President Lee paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat, honouring his legacy of peace. He expressed commitment to promoting global harmony through collaborative efforts.
In a post on X, President Lee emphasised the potential for mutually beneficial cooperation between India and South Korea. He stated that both countries share common interests and should work together to build a future grounded in peace and democratic values.
