
Following its landslide victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has officially formed the government in the national capital.
Rekha Gupta, a first-time MLA from Shalimar Bagh, has sworn in as Delhi’s fourth woman Chief Minister at a mega event at Ramlila Ground.
Six BJP MLAs also took oath as ministers in her cabinet.
This marks BJP’s return to power in Delhi after 27 years, following their decisive win of 48 out of 70 seats. The outgoing Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) secured 22 seats, while Congress failed to win a single seat for the third consecutive time.
New Delhi Cabinet: List Of Ministers
The newly appointed Delhi cabinet ministers who took the oath along with CM Rekha Gupta are:
- Parvesh Sahib Singh
- Ashish Sood
- Manjinder Singh Sirsa
- Ravinder Indraj Singh
- Kapil Mishra
- Pankaj Kumar Singh
The Union Ministry of Home Affairs officially confirmed these appointments through a gazette notification, stating that they would be effective from the date of the oath-taking.

The ‘Viksit Delhi Pledge Ceremony’, held at Ramlila Maidan, was a high-profile event attended by:

Rekha Gupta’s Vision For Delhi

Gupta, a former Mayor of South Delhi and BJP grassroots leader, called her appointment an inspiration for middle-class women, proving that ordinary workers can rise to top leadership roles.The BJP has taken power, ushering Delhi into a new era of governance focused on development, transparency, and improved public services.
