Ratan Tata To Be Honored With State Funeral Following His Passing

Ratan Tata, the esteemed industrialist and former chairman of Tata Sons, passed away late Wednesday at the age of 86. His body will be made available for public viewing at the NCPA Lawns in Nariman Point, allowing mourners to pay their respects before a state funeral scheduled for the evening at Worli Crematorium, according to government and Tata Group officials.

The Maharashtra government has declared a day of official mourning in remembrance of Tata, whose death has cast a shadow over India’s corporate landscape.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that the national flag will be flown at half-mast at all government buildings, and there will be no official entertainment events today.
