The eagerly awaited consecration day of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir has finally arrived. Today is a historic day as Prime Minister Modi will officially inaugurate the Ram Temple. A spiritual leader from Maharashtra’s Amravati district has brought ‘kumkum’ for the consecration ceremony. Meanwhile, a vehicle carrying 500 kg of ‘kumkum’ is on its way to Ayodhya.
This sacred kumkum is crucial for the ceremony, and its transportation is being closely monitored. The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony is set to begin around 12:20 pm, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi overseeing the rituals.
Local MP Navneet Rana attended the function on January 18 to mark the departure. Spiritual leader Rajeshwar Mauli, who also left for Ayodhya the same day, has reached Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh with a silver ‘kalash’ (urn) containing ‘kumkum’, said Jagdish Gupta, president of the Kesari Dharm Samaj in Amravati.
The ‘rath’ (chariot) shaped vehicle carrying the ‘kumkum’ is expected to reach Ayodhya by Monday or Tuesday.
The consecration is a grand ceremony scheduled for Monday, with the “Pran Pratishtha” ceremony starting at 12:20 pm and concluding by 1 pm. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a gathering of more than 7,000 people, including seers and prominent personalities, at the venue. The shrine will open to the public the following day.
