Rajasthan Reports Six New Covid Cases, Health Dept Forms Team To Prevent Disease Spread

According to the state medical and health department, Rajasthan reported six new cases of COVID-19 infection and one related death on Friday.

The department reports that the state now has ten active Covid cases as a result of the additional six cases.

According to the report, there were three new cases in Jaipur and one each in Alwar, Dholpur, and Jodhpur. The statement also stated that 683 patients’ samples were collected on Friday for testing. A state-level team has been established to prevent and control the COVID-19 virus in response to an increase in cases occurring nationwide.

According to an official statement released here on Friday, Shubhra Singh, Additional Chief Secretary of the Medical and Health Department, issued an order to form a state-level team for COVID management.

Singh said the team is being formed in view of the rise in number of Covid infections in other states, including Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra.

Medical Education Commissioner Shivprasad Nakate has been appointed as the nodal officer of the ‘State Covid Management Committee’, the statement said. This committee will carry out necessary activities in the state for the prevention and control of Covid infection, it added.
