Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma met Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Thursday to discuss development and public welfare matters concerning the state.
Sharma briefed Shah on the progress of major government projects and welfare programmes across Rajasthan. He also thanked the Union Minister for the Yamuna Water Agreement.
The two leaders discussed strengthening Rajasthan’s cooperative sector, accelerating development in border districts and improving security arrangements in frontier areas.
Following the meeting, CM Sharma shared photographs on X and said Shah offered guidance on governance, public-interest issues, cooperative sector empowerment and internal security.
Rajasthan CM later met Union Minister for Labour and Employment and Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya. Their discussions focused on expanding opportunities for Rajasthan’s youth through skill development, employment, innovation and sports.
The leaders considered measures to improve the state’s sports ecosystem, establish modern facilities for athletes and promote youth leadership through the MY Bharat initiative.
The Chief Minister subsequently met Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu to discuss expanding Rajasthan’s air connectivity. Their talks covered the development of new airstrips and stronger links between major Rajasthan cities and domestic and international aviation networks. They also reviewed ways to improve aviation infrastructure to support tourism, trade and economic growth.
CM Sharma said Rajasthan would continue developing modern aviation facilities in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s UDAN vision. He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to strengthening connectivity and supporting Rajasthan’s economic development.
