Rahul Gandhi
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi appears in a stunning new avatar on his week-long United Kingdom tour. He has arrived in the UK to deliver a lecture on ‘Learning to listen in the 21st century’ at Cambridge University. The leader has trimmed his hair and the famous Bharat Jodo Yatra’s beard and is spotted in a formal (shirt and tie look) instead of his white t-shirt.
Ahead of his new look, several party leaders shared Rahul Gandhi’s photos on their social media.
During his address at Cambridge University, Rahul Gandhi focused on three topics i.e. the Bharat Jodo Yatra, two differing ideologies and an imperative for a global conversation.
Moreover, the Indian politician will also meet the members of the Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) in London. The IOC is the overseas wing of the Congress party.
According to the officials, the Congress leader, Gandhi will also attend a closed-door session on Big Data and Democracy and ‘India-China relations’ with Professor Shruti Kapila, an Indian-origin Fellow, Tutor and Director of Studies at the university’s Corpus Christi College and Co-Director of the Global Humanities Initiative.

Congress leader Gandhi’s appearance has seen a drastic change during the five months of the Bharat Jodo Yatra as he was always seen in a white t-shirt. His beard also grew in the five months as he decided not to shave during the same. Taking notes from his look, all these contributed to the theory that Rahul Gandhi underwent a conscious image makeover. Several opposition leaders have criticized his transformation.
