A meeting of the All India Unani Tibi Congress Technical Wing was held under the chairmanship of Professor Fazlullah Qadri in Daryaganj, New Delhi. During the meeting, Professor Qadri expressed concern over the increasing moral decline in the world, particularly in the medical field. He emphasized that while morality has always been of paramount importance, today’s commercialized world has compromised honesty, leading to significant moral degradation. He warned that if the oath taken by Hakim Bukrat for the medical profession is not upheld, more problems will arise in the future.
On this occasion, Milli Rahnuma and thinker Muhammad Khalid Lakhnavi highlighted the ongoing promotion and development of Unani medicine, crediting the persistent efforts of those associated with the All India Unani Tibbi Congress. He noted that certain circulars and ordinances issued by the AYUSH Department of the Central Government often lead to misunderstandings, resulting in Unani medicine being excluded from many central and provincial schemes. For instance, a recent Home Ministry circular inviting applications for the Padma Shri award from Ayurveda, Yoga, Siddha, and Homeopathy practitioners did not mention Unani medicine, which Lakhnavi criticized as a deliberate oversight.

Dr. Syed Ahmed Khan, General Secretary of the All India Unani Tibi Congress, stated that the technical wing diligently monitors the schemes of the Ministry of AYUSH and periodically takes actions to reclaim the rights of Unani medicine. The organization frequently writes letters to the Ministry to address these issues. She commended the active members at the provincial level for fulfilling their moral responsibilities with integrity and without any greed.
The meeting also featured contributions from Prof. Akhtar Hussain Chaudhary, Prof. Muhammad Aslam, Dr. Sikandar Hayat Siddiqui, Dr. Sabahatullah Amrohvi, and Dr. Obaidullah Chaudhary, who shared their views on the matter. The meeting concluded with Muhammad Imran Kannauji expressing gratitude to all participants.
