Prime Minister Narendra Modi urges party workers to reach ‘minorities’ ahead upcoming 2024 elections

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called a meeting with BJP (Bhartiya Janta Party) workers to reach out to the minorities, including Muslims. The party will no longer be a political movement but a social movement to transform the socio-economic conditions, PM Modi said. Moreover, he has urged the leaders to increase their outreach to voters.

During the BJP’s two-day national executive meeting in New Delhi, PM Modi spoke about areas where the party needs to be strengthened ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Speaking to the news agency ANI, a source said, “The PM called upon BJP workers to meet Pasmanda Muslims, Bohra community, Muslim professionals and educated Muslims without expecting votes in return.” Prime Minister Modi has advised the BJP members to visit universities and churches.

While highlighting the resolutions of “Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat,” the Prime Minister said that every state should cooperate with each other and be accommodative of each others’ language and culture.

BJP To Work With Full Dedication

Ahead of 400 days left for the Lok Sabha elections, the PM asked party members to serve every section with full dedication in a speech described by several participants as his big vision to expand the BJP and lead the country in every aspect.

He has suggested BJP workers refrain from making unnecessary remarks on irrelevant issues such as movies as they put the party’s development agenda on the back burner.

The Prime Minister has said people in the 18-25 age group have not witnessed the political history of India and are not aware of “corruption and wrongdoings” that took place under previous governments. BJP should focus on strengthening the organization in the villages, including in border areas, and its leaders must “meet people from all walks of life,” he said.

While concluding the meeting, PM Modi said that India’s best era “Sarvottam Kaal” is coming and “we should dedicate ourselves to its development.”
