This important session comes ahead of the budget presentation by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, scheduled for 23 July in Parliament.

The Budget Session is likely to commence on 22 July and will run until 12 August.

Sources indicate that the meeting will see participation from economists, industry experts, and Niti Aayog Vice Chairman Suman Bery.

They will deliberate on the current fiscal situation and strategies, offering their views and recommendations to the Prime Minister.

This Budget marks the first of the Modi-led government in its third term at the Centre.

Prime Minister Modi’s return to the national capital on Thursday morning follows his two-nation visit to Russia and Austria, underscoring his busy schedule as he prepares for this crucial economic discussion.

In her address to a joint session of Parliament last month, President Droupadi Murmu hinted at significant reforms on the horizon, indicating the government’s commitment to accelerate the pace of economic changes.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has already engaged in extensive discussions with various stakeholders, including economists and industry leaders, to gather insights and inputs for the forthcoming Budget.

The collaborative approach however aims to ensure that the Budget addresses the key economic challenges and opportunities facing the nation.
