Prime Minister Modi: Police Personnel’s Unwavering Commitment To Service Embodies True Spirit Of Heroism

On the occasion of Police Commemoration Day on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised police officers for their dedication and for helping residents through difficult times.

Police Commemoration Day is commemorated to honor police officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

On this day in 1959, ten brave police officers were killed fighting highly equipped Chinese soldiers in Hot Springs, Ladakh.
