Prime Minister Narendra Modi undertook a comprehensive aerial survey of the landslide-affected areas in Wayanad district, providing a firsthand assessment of the disaster’s impact before personally visiting the affected locations.
The aerial survey allowed Modi to gain an extensive view of the disaster’s scale, focusing particularly on the origins of the landslide in the region. The Prime Minister observed the initial point of the landslide near the Iruvazhinji Puzha (River), which was identified as the primary source of the massive earth movement that triggered widespread devastation.
