President Droupadi Murmu will attend the ongoing Maha Kumbh celebrations in Prayagraj on Monday. She will participate in the spiritual event by taking a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. President Murmu will pay homage during her visit to some of the region’s most sacred sites, beginning with the iconic Triveni Sangam. She will perform a ceremonial dip in the holy confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers, reinforcing her deep-rooted faith in Sanatan Dharma.
This act holds special significance as it echoes the gesture of India’s first President, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, who, too, had taken a dip at the Sangam during a past Maha Kumbh.

In a modern twist, President Murmu will tour the Digital Maha Kumbh Experience Centre, an innovative project designed to blend religious tradition with modern technology. The center offers detailed insights into the Maha Kumbh through advanced digital tools, allowing devotees—both from India and abroad—to experience the event’s immense cultural and spiritual depth.
To ensure the safety and smooth conduct of her visit, the city has implemented stringent security measures.
