Family tensions have come to the forefront in the household of Prateek Yadav, the younger brother of Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav.
On Monday morning, Prateek Yadav shared a message on his Instagram account that left followers shocked and concerned.
In the post, he revealed his intention to divorce his wife, Aparna Yadav, alongside her photograph, drawing immediate attention across social media platforms.
“I am going to divorce this selfish woman as soon as possible. She ruined my family ties. All she wants to become is famous and influential. Right now, i am very bad mental health condition and she doesn’t bother. Because it’s only herself she bothers about. I have never seen such a bad soul, and i was unfortunate to get married to her,” the post read.

Aparna Yadav, who currently serves as Vice-Chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh State Women’s Commission and is affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party, has not yet issued any public statement regarding the post.
However, her brother Aman Bisht has stated that Prateek Yadav could not have written the post, claiming that the account was hacked.
“We have reported the matter to the authorities,” he further said, adding that the family is handling the issue legally.
The Instagram message has rapidly gone viral, generating widespread debate and speculation among political observers and social media users alike.
The couple married on 4 November 2011 and have two daughters. The dispute is now public, drawing widespread online attention.
