In the latest development in the Karnataka sex video scandal, Prime accused Pajwal Revanna is sent to SIT custody. Former JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna was handed over to the custody of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in connection with a rape case by a court on Wednesday.
In this context, the 42nd Additional Chief Metropolitan and Magistrate (ACMM) court issued an order. The court gave Special Investigation Team (SIT) custody of Prajwal Revanna. Revanna is the grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, till June 18.
Earlier the court had sent him to judicial custody till June 24. He Prajwal was sent to the Bengaluru Central Prison on June 10.
Prajwal was brought before the court by the jail officials in relation to a rape case filed against him under FIR Number 2/2024, at the SIT’s request.
Notably, the Court accepted the SIT request.
The SIT has booked cases against Prajwal under IPC Sections 376 (2) N (committing rape repeatedly on same woman). He has also been booked in 506 (criminal intimidation). Other charges include 354 (A) (1) (behaving in unwelcome way, explicit sexual behaviour, demanding sexual favours), 354 (B) (using criminal force on woman) and 354 (C) (voyeurism, capturing an image of a woman in a private act without her consent) and Under Sections of the Information Technology Act.
It is worth mentioning that former JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna is the prime accused in sex video scandal of Karnataka. The team, investigating the matter, has taken the driver of Revanna’s Mother onto the radar.
