POJK’s Return Only Possible Under Modi Government : Dr. Jitendra Singh

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh addressed the POJK Resolution Day event organized by the Jammu Kashmir People’s Forum and Mirpur POJK Sacrifice Committee in New Delhi.

Dr. Singh emphasized that the return of Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK) is possible only under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He strongly criticized the policies of Pandit Nehru, calling the creation of POJK one of India’s biggest historical failures.

Historical Criticism Of Nehru’s Policies

Dr. Jitendra Singh focused on Nehru’s role in India’s Partition, claiming that he carried it out to fulfill personal ambitions rather than the nation’s interest.

He recalled the critical moment when the Indian Army liberated Mirpur, but a sudden ceasefire declaration resulted in the creation of POJK.

Singh attributed this blunder to Nehru’s decision to take the issue to the United Nations, preventing India from reclaiming the territory.

Commitment To Reclaim POJK

Dr. Singh reassured the audience that POJK, along with POTL (Pakistan-occupied Gilgit-Baltistan), and COTL (China-occupied Aksai Chin) will always remain integral to India.

He compared the Modi government’s accomplishment of abrogating Article 370 to the similarly achievable goal of reclaiming POJK.

He reiterated that the BJP has dedicated three generations to this cause and will continue the fight.

Tushar Mehta’s Support

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta echoed Dr. Singh’s sentiments, reminding the audience of the Parliament’s resolution on POJK.

He highlighted Pakistan’s worsening economic crisis, which has left basic necessities scarce, and emphasized that the people of POJK are increasingly expressing interest in joining India.

Mehta also urged that the misleading term “Azad Kashmir” be corrected and insisted on recognizing POJK in all references.

Dr. Singh concluded by stressing the need for India to restore its rightful land, noting that significant portions of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh are still under Pakistan and China’s illegal occupation.

He called for active support from citizens to reclaim POJK, asserting that it is not just a territorial dispute but a matter of India’s sovereignty and integrity.
