Following the temple visit, PM Modi will likely travel to Hardoi to inaugurate the Ganga Expressway, a major infrastructure project built at a cost of around Rs 36,230 crore. He will likely address a public gathering there.

The 594-km-long expressway has been designed as a six-lane access-controlled corridor, with provision for expansion to eight lanes. It will pass through multiple districts, including Meerut, Bulandshahr, Hapur, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Raebareli, Pratapgarh and Prayagraj, linking different regions of Uttar Pradesh.

Officials say the project will significantly cut travel time between Meerut and Prayagraj to about six hours from the current 10–12 hours.

A notable feature of the expressway is a 3.5-km emergency landing strip in Shahjahanpur, intended for use in critical situations.

The plan also positions the project as an economic corridor. Industrial and logistics hubs will be spread across more than 2,600 hectares along its route.

Authorities expect it to lower transport costs, improve supply chains and support manufacturing growth.

Improved road connectivity is likely to benefit farmers by providing easier access to markets. It could also boost tourism and create employment opportunities.

The expressway will further integrate with other key road projects in the state. It will form part of a larger network aimed at enhancing connectivity across Uttar Pradesh and supporting long-term economic development.
