PM Narendra Modi Hopes New Delhi BJP Office Boosts Organisation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the efforts and commitment of Delhi BJP leaders before opening the party’s new office in the city.

He said the new building would inspire renewed energy, focus and confidence within the organisation.

On the social media platform X, PM Modi wrote, “The history of BJP workers in Delhi is a remarkable example of struggle and commitment. They kept the party alive through challenges and contributed greatly to strengthening it.”

He added, “I am confident that the new permanent state office will give the organisation renewed strength, guidance, and self-belief.”

Earlier, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, BJP President Virendra Sachdeva and other leaders performed prayers at the new office located at 5, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg, close to the National BJP office.

Delhi CM Gupta shared on X that the house entry pooja and Havan were completed and posted a teaser about PM Modi’s visit.

New State Office Expected To Energise Party Workers

The new Delhi BJP building covers around 825 square meters and is designed in the South Indian architectural style. It has five floors:

  • Basement: Car parking
  • Ground floor: Conference room, reception hall and canteen
  • First floor: Auditorium with 300 seats
  • Second floor: Rooms for party staff and different wings
  • Third floor: Offices for the state vice president, general secretary and secretary
  • Fourth floor: Rooms for leaders from other states
  • Fifth floor: Offices of the state BJP president, state organisation general secretary and Delhi MPs

The journey of Delhi BJP leaders began after independence from Naya Bazar. During the Jana Sangh era, the office was in Naya Bazar.

Later, the office moved to Ajmeri Gate, then 20 Rakabganj Road, and finally 14 Pandit Pant Marg near Parliament, where it remained for 35 years.

The new office aims to provide modern facilities for party workers while continuing the long history of the BJP’s presence in Delhi.
