Originally uploaded to YouTube on 16 March, the conversation however featured PM Modi sharing his views on a wide range of subjects .These included:
During the podcast, PM Modi also spoke about the scale of India’s democratic exercise, revealing that 980 million people registered to vote in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections – a figure higher than the total populations of North America and the European Union combined.
“Anyone who believes in democracy should listen to what I’m about to share with you. There were 980 million registered voters (in the 2024 general elections). Each of those voters had a registered ID and all the necessary details in a vast database. This number is twice the entire population of North America. It even surpasses the total population of the entire European Union,” PM Modi further noted.
The Prime Minister also shared anecdotes about the efforts made to ensure voting access in remote areas.
In one instance, a polling booth was set up in Gujarat’s Gir Forest for a single voter, and helicopters were used to reach far-off locations.
The Prime Minister however reaffirmed his government’s focus on inclusive welfare schemes.
PM Modi further stated that all programs aim to benefit citizens without any bias towards caste, religion, or political belief.
“Trust is the foundation of our governance model,” the Prime Minister added.
PM Modi also praised US President Donald Trump for his deep commitment to the American people, especially following last year’s assassination attempts.
Drawing a comparison, he said Trump’s ‘America First’ outlook mirrors his own ‘India First’ philosophy – both rooted in prioritizing national interest.
