Kashyap, a devoted supporter from Haryana, had walked barefoot for over a decade, vowing to wear shoes only after meeting Prime Minister Modi in person.

The emotional meeting marked the first time Kashyap wore footwear in 14 years, symbolising the human connection PM Modi often establishes with citizens.

In March, PM Modi met a fan in Surat who had painted an artwork depicting the Prime Minister with his late mother, Heeraben Modi.
