Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Haryana on April 14, on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, to launch a series of key infrastructure and energy projects.
PM Modi’s visit will begin in Hisar, where he will flag off the inaugural commercial flight to Ayodhya and lay the foundation stone for a new terminal building at Maharaja Agrasen Airport.
PM Modi Boosts Air Connectivity
At around 10:15 AM, PM Modi will launch the Hisar-Ayodhya flight, marking a new milestone in regional air travel under the UDAN scheme.
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation for the ₹410 crore new terminal complex, which will feature a modern passenger terminal, cargo terminal, and air traffic control (ATC) tower.
Hisar will now be connected to Ayodhya twice weekly, along with three flights per week to Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh- enhancing connectivity and economic integration.
Public Outreach & Yamunanagar Projects
Following his engagement in Hisar, PM Modi will travel to Yamunanagar.
At approximately 12:30 PM, the Prime Minister will address a public meeting and inaugurate several development initiatives aimed at strengthening Haryana’s power, infrastructure, and green energy sectors.
Reinforcing the government’s commitment to reliable and accessible electricity, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for an 800 MW thermal power unit at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Yamunanagar.
Spanning 233 acres and costing about ₹8,470 crore, the modern power unit will enhance the state’s energy self-reliance and ensure uninterrupted supply across urban and rural areas.
Green Energy & Environmental Focus
As part of the GOBARDhan (Galvanising Organic Bio-Agro Resources Dhan) initiative, the Prime Minister will launch the Compressed Biogas Plant in Mukarabpur.
With an annual capacity of 2,600 metric tonnes, the plant will play a vital role in sustainable waste management and clean energy generation, contributing to environmental protection and rural development.
Inauguration Of Rewari Bypass
PM Modi will also inaugurate the 14.4 km Rewari Bypass, a ₹1,070 crore project under the Bharatmala Pariyojana.
The bypass will significantly decongest Rewari city and reduce Delhi–Narnaul travel time by about one hour. It will also boost economic activity and strengthen regional connectivity in southern Haryana.
Moreover, Prime Minister Modi’s visit reflects the government’s focus on inclusive, multi-sectoral development.
From aviation to green energy and highway infrastructure, the projects launched on Ambedkar Jayanti aim to uplift Haryana’s socio-economic landscape and commemorate the legacy of Dr BR Ambedkar through action and impact.
