Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent five-nation diplomatic tour helped India secure investment commitments and business expansion proposals worth nearly $40 billion, according to government officials.
The visit strengthened India’s global economic partnerships and reinforced the country’s position as a major destination for international investment and advanced technology cooperation.
Prime Minister Modi visited the United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Italy between May 15 and May 20 as part of a strategic outreach focused on energy security, trade expansion, technology partnerships and infrastructure development.
During the tour, the Prime Minister held meetings with chief executives and senior representatives of more than 50 multinational corporations operating across sectors, including semiconductors, logistics, infrastructure, energy and technology.
