Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared Independence Day greetings from the iconic Red Fort, posting, “Wishing everyone a very happy Independence Day. May this day inspire us to keep working even harder to realise the dreams of our freedom fighters and build a Viksit Bharat. Jai Hind!” on his X handle.
He urged citizens to remember the sacrifices of freedom fighters and reaffirm their commitment to building a stronger, self-reliant India.
During his address, PM Modi outlined a comprehensive vision for India, combining technological ambition with economic empowerment. He highlighted key initiatives, including manufacturing India’s first semiconductor chip, building indigenous jet engines, and expanding nuclear energy capacity tenfold by 2047.
These efforts are aimed at enhancing energy security, reducing fossil fuel dependence, and asserting India’s presence in strategic industries globally.
The Prime Minister announced next-generation GST reforms, providing relief to MSMEs, street vendors, and consumers. He also unveiled the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, offering ₹15,000 monthly support to newly employed youth, targeting three crore beneficiaries.
A dedicated task force will fast-track reforms, cut red tape, and prepare India to achieve a $10 trillion economy by 2047.
PM Modi delivered his longest-ever Independence Day address, speaking for 103 minutes from 7:33 AM to 9:16 AM, surpassing his previous record of 98 minutes in 2024. He also set a new milestone by delivering 12 consecutive Independence Day speeches from the Red Fort, second only to Jawaharlal Nehru’s 17 consecutive addresses.
Recalling past attempts, PM Modi affirmed that India’s first ‘Made in India’ semiconductor chip will roll out by year-end.
The announcement signals the nation’s entry into a high-tech industry long dominated by global powers. The government highlighted plans to build ten new nuclear reactors, reinforcing India’s self-reliance and sustainable growth.
The Independence Day address projected India’s journey toward innovation, inclusive growth, and economic strength.
PM Modi’s message underscored the importance of youth participation, technological self-reliance, and institutional reforms as the nation works toward a prosperous, empowered, and globally competitive future.
This speech reflects India’s ambition to combine heritage with innovation, ensuring sustainable progress while preparing the next generation to lead the country into a new era.
