PM Narendra Modi arrived in Odisha on Friday to attend a grand event celebrating the first anniversary of the BJP government in the state.
This marks his sixth visit to Odisha in the past year.
PM Modi receives grand welcome at Bhubaneswar Airport
Senior BJP leaders welcomed PM Modi at the Bhubaneswar Airport, where he received a grand reception.
Cultural troupes from across Odisha performed folk and musical acts as PM Modi’s cavalcade moved to Janata Maidan.
Thousands of enthusiastic BJP supporters lined both sides of the road, waving the Tricolour and holding posters of PM Modi.
Supporters showered flower petals on his carcade, while the Prime Minister warmly responded by waving to the crowd throughout his journey to the venue.
PM Modi leads roadshow with CM Majhi, BJP chief Samal
Upon arriving at Janata Maidan, PM Modi conducted a roadshow to the stage, accompanied by Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi and BJP State President Manmohan Samal.
These projects aim to accelerate Odisha’s infrastructure and welfare transformation.
He will also interact with beneficiaries of the Lakhpati Didi scheme, a women’s empowerment initiative, and honour 25 eminent freedom fighters from the state.
PM Modi will release the ‘Odisha Vision Document’ outlining development goals for the state ahead of its 2036 centenary.
The document aligns with the target of building a ‘Samruddha Odisha’ (Prosperous Odisha).
Odisha Police, in coordination with central agencies, have put in place extensive security arrangements across Bhubaneswar.
Authorities have deployed 133 platoons of police force along with senior officers to ensure the Prime Minister’s safety.
