Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated, laid the foundation stone, and dedicated development projects worth ₹5,400 crore in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Addressing a massive gathering, he linked the day’s milestones with Gujarat’s legacy of resilience, spirituality, and progress. He invoked Dwarkadhish Krishna, the Sudarshan Chakradhari Mohan, and Mahatma Gandhi, the Charkhadhari Mohan of Sabarmati.
PM Modi declared that India’s strength lies in balancing spiritual heritage with modern resolve.
“Wherever terrorists hide, India does not spare them. Operation Sindoor showed the Army’s courage and the nation’s will,” he asserted.
The Prime Minister also urged people to embrace Made in India products during the festive season, calling Swadeshi the true path to self-reliance.
Infrastructure and Connectivity Boost
The Prime Minister highlighted Gujarat’s two-decade transformation from unrest to prosperity. He said Ahmedabad is now among the safest cities, with industries expanding in sectors such as aircraft manufacturing in Vadodara, metro coach production in Dahod, and EV and semiconductor initiatives in Hansalpur.
PM Modi noted Gujarat’s global leadership in pharmaceuticals, textiles, gems, and jewellery.
“Nine out of ten diamonds in the world are polished here,” he remarked.
Connectivity projects formed the core of the event. PM Modi dedicated the six-lane expansion of the Sardar Patel Ring Road, new overbridges, and major roads like the Viramgam-Khudad-Rampura stretch. He also inaugurated railway projects worth ₹1,400 crore, including the doubling of the Mahesana-Palanpur line. Gujarat’s entire railway network, he stressed, now stands electrified.
Welfare and Cultural Revival
PM Modi handed over 1,500 homes under PMAY (U) at Ramapir No Tekro, replacing slums with dignified housing. He recalled Sabarmati Ashram’s renovation, which will emerge as the ‘greatest global symbol of peace’.
He reaffirmed his government’s success in lifting 25 crore people out of poverty and praised the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, under which six lakh families in Gujarat enjoy zero power bills.
Looking ahead, he urged citizens to celebrate festivals with Made in India gifts and goods.
“India’s resolve is strong, Gujarat’s contribution is immense, and together we are building a developed Bharat,” he concluded.
