PM Modi Unveils ₹26,000-Crore Infrastructure Projects In Bikaner

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Bikaner, Rajasthan, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth ₹26,000 crore.

The initiative marks a key step in accelerating infrastructure growth and regional development across the state.

Welcoming dignitaries and participants from 18 states and union territories, both physically and virtually, PM Modi began by invoking the blessings of Karni Mata, underlining the cultural and spiritual foundation of the visit.

He congratulated the people of Rajasthan on receiving projects that promise transformative change.

Addressing the public, PM Modi spotlighted India’s rapid infrastructure evolution.

He noted that the country now invests six times more in infrastructure compared to previous years, citing landmark projects like the Chenab Bridge, Sela Tunnel, and Atal Setu.

He highlighted southern India’s Pamban Bridge and eastern India’s Bogibeel Bridge as examples of pan-India development.

Railway Revolution

Emphasising railway modernisation, PM Modi pointed to the expansion of Vande Bharat, Amrit Bharat, and Namo Bharat trains.

Nearly 70 Vande Bharat routes are now operational, reaching remote regions.

He outlined the laying of over 34,000 km of railway track in the past 11 years and the elimination of unmanned level crossings on broad-gauge lines, significantly improving safety.

PM Modi celebrated the modernisation of over 1,300 stations, including more than 100 Amrit Bharat stations.

He noted how these hubs now reflect regional heritage, such as Mandalgarh’s Rajput grandeur, Madhubani art at Thawe, and temple-inspired stations like Srirangam and Dakor, offering passengers a culturally rich experience.

PM Modi emphasised that infrastructure development fuels employment and business growth, benefiting everyone from farmers and factory workers to truck operators.

With better roads and railways, farmers can reduce transport costs and losses, while industrial investment and tourism receive a strong push.

Rajasthan alone has seen ₹70,000 crore invested in road infrastructure over 11 years.

This year, ₹10,000 crore will be spent on rail projects in the state, a 15-fold increase since before 2014.

PM Modi also flagged off a new Bikaner-Mumbai train and inaugurated projects in health, water, and power sectors.

Powering Homes & Industry

The PM highlighted the success of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, which has eliminated electricity bills for over 40,000 Rajasthan households and enabled solar income generation.

Several new power projects aim to boost supply and support industrial growth.

Recalling Maharaja Ganga Singh’s legacy, PM Modi stressed the importance of irrigation.

He announced progress on the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal Link Project, which will aid agriculture and sustainability in western Rajasthan.

This comprehensive development push, PM Modi asserted, will ensure that both urban and rural Rajasthan move swiftly toward prosperity, with youth reaping the greatest rewards of a modern India.
