Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ajmer on Saturday to dedicate, inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for a series of development projects worth over Rs 16,680 crore. He will also address a large public gathering in the city.
Key Initiatives
The initiatives cover sectors such as urban expansion, potable water supply, highways, irrigation facilities, power transmission and industrial advancement, all intended to drive Rajasthan’s economic momentum and raise living standards.
As part of efforts to enhance preventive healthcare, the Prime Minister will introduce a countrywide Human Papillomavirus vaccination campaign targeting girls aged 14 years and above to help prevent cervical cancer.
The campaign aims to lower cases of cervical cancer, which remains one of the most common cancer-related diseases among women, reinforcing the government’s commitment to protecting the health of young girls and women nationwide.
To strengthen road networks, the Prime Minister will inaugurate prominent highway ventures, including the four-lane Greenfield Expressway linking Bandikui and Jaipur, the six-lane access-controlled green corridor under Package 7 of the Amritsar–Jamnagar Economic Corridor, and the eight-lane stretch under Package 14 of the Delhi–Vadodara Access Controlled Greenfield Expressway.
He will further initiate construction of a four-lane elevated corridor in Jodhpur and the Malbamori–Mangrol–Baran State Highway project in Baran district.
Highlighting the importance of clean drinking water, the Prime Minister will lay foundation stones for four segments of the Nonera Major Drinking Water Project and five segments of the Parwan Akawad Major Drinking Water Project to improve water access in several districts.
In addition, he will inaugurate crucial renewable energy transmission facilities and commence work on five 220 kV and two 400 kV substations, along with related transmission lines, to reinforce Rajasthan’s power grid and support green energy growth.
Emphasising job creation, Prime Minister Modi will hand over more than 21,800 appointment letters to newly selected candidates joining various government departments and organisations in Rajasthan.

Citizens in Ajmer have voiced excitement about the visit, noting that the rollout of development projects, healthcare measures and employment opportunities makes the occasion particularly significant for the region.
