Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on Tuesday to inaugurate the Samrat Samprati Museum at Koba Tirth in Gandhinagar and unveil major development projects across the state.

Ahead of the visit, he described the museum as a tribute to India’s civilisational heritage and Jain traditions, offering a chronological insight into the evolution of Jainism and its contributions to humanity.

The inauguration will take place at the Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti.

Named after Samrat Samprati, a revered Jain figure and grandson of Emperor Ashoka, the museum features seven thematic wings showcasing over 2,000 rare artefacts, including sculptures, manuscripts, miniature paintings, and coins, enhanced by modern digital displays for an immersive experience.

Later in the day, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Kaynes Semicon Plant at Sanand GIDC in Ahmedabad, marking a significant step under the India Semiconductor Mission.

The facility will produce advanced Intelligent Power Modules, strengthening India’s push towards self-reliance in high-technology manufacturing.

In the afternoon, he will visit Vav-Tharad to launch and dedicate development projects worth over Rs 20,000 crore across sectors such as power, railways, roads, health, and urban development.

Key highlights include the inauguration of the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway to boost connectivity in the Dholera Special Investment Region, along with several road upgrades and flyovers to ease congestion.

Energy projects like the Khavda Pooling Station will boost renewable power transmission. Rail upgrades, including track doubling and new train services, will improve connectivity.

Urban and tourism initiatives feature infrastructure, healthcare, hostels, and heritage light shows.

Water schemes and the Sabarmati Riverfront expansion in Gandhinagar aim to enhance infrastructure and quality of life.

The visit underscores the government’s focus on integrated development, cultural preservation, and technological advancement across Gujarat.
