The Prime Minister will begin his visit in Somnath on Saturday evening. At 8 PM, he will join devotees at the Somnath Temple for Omkar Mantra chanting, a spiritually significant ritual, followed by a special drone show organised within the temple complex.

The event is expected to draw large crowds and underscore the significance of one of India’s most revered Jyotirlingas.

On 11 January, PM Modi will participate in the ‘Shaurya Yatra’ at 9.45 AM, a ceremonial procession honouring the warriors who sacrificed their lives in defence of the Somnath Temple across centuries.

The procession symbolises resilience and devotion associated with the historic shrine.

Following the yatra, the Prime Minister will perform Darshan and Pooja at 10.15 AM and later attend a public programme marking the ‘Somnath Swabhiman Parv’ at 11 AM, an event celebrating cultural pride and national heritage.

Later in the day, the Prime Minister will travel to Rajkot to participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference for the Kutch and Saurashtra region.

At 1.30 PM, he will inaugurate the trade show and exhibition, showcasing regional industries, innovation, and investment opportunities.

He will inaugurate the conference at Marwadi University and address industry leaders on regional growth before travelling to Ahmedabad to launch the remaining Phase 2 stretch of the Ahmedabad Metro between Sector 10A and Mahatma Mandir.

The launch marks a key step in improving urban connectivity and commuter mobility.

On 12 January, PM Modi will meet German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Ahmedabad.

The leaders will visit the Sabarmati Ashram, reflecting on Mahatma Gandhi’s legacy, and attend the International Kite Festival at the Sabarmati Riverfront.

The leaders will then hold talks in Gandhinagar to review the 25-year-old India–Germany Strategic Partnership and deepen cooperation.
