Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the India AI Impact Summit 2026 on Thursday at Bharat Mandapam, marking the formal launch of one of the world’s largest gatherings dedicated to artificial intelligence.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Modi will attend the opening ceremony at around 9:40 a.m. and deliver his address at approximately 10:25 am. PM Modi is set to kick off a high-profile day, welcoming world leaders at the India AI Impact Summit 2026.
The inaugural session will also feature addresses by French President Emmanuel Macron and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, along with leading global industry and technology figures. A family photograph of dignitaries is scheduled for about 9:15 a.m.
Following the inauguration, the Prime Minister will tour the India AI Impact Expo at 11 a.m. alongside international leaders. The expo will showcase country pavilions presenting advanced AI innovations and emerging technological solutions from across the world.
At noon, PM Modi will join the Leaders’ Plenary session with Heads of State, ministers and senior representatives from multilateral organisations. Discussions are expected to focus on national and international AI priorities, governance mechanisms, infrastructure expansion and global cooperation frameworks.
Focus On Investment And Collaboration
Later in the evening, at 5:30 p.m., the Prime Minister will participate in a CEO Roundtable bringing together top executives from major global technology and industry firms with senior government officials. Talks are expected to centre on investment opportunities, research partnerships, resilient supply chains and large-scale AI deployment across sectors.
The summit, now in its fourth edition after previous meetings in the United Kingdom in 2023, South Korea in 2024 and France in 2025, aims to foster responsible innovation and cross-border collaboration.
It seeks to align global AI initiatives with India’s civilisational ethos of Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya, while advancing the principle of AI for Humanity.
