Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Surat and Daman on June 5 to launch, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone for a series of large-scale development projects exceeding Rs 22,600 crore in value.

The initiatives span several sectors, including transport, healthcare, industrial development, electricity transmission, aviation, tourism, and maritime infrastructure.
The Prime Minister will begin his engagements in Gujarat with a visit to Hazira in Surat district, where he will assess ongoing industrial activities and infrastructure works.
Later in the day, PM Modi will unveil and dedicate projects worth nearly Rs 18,800 crore and interact with members of the public at a special gathering.
One of the key projects during the visit will be the dedication of Packages VI and VII of the Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway, an eight-lane access-controlled corridor.
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the expansion of important stretches of National Highway-56 into four lanes.
As part of the healthcare initiatives, PM Modi will inaugurate a newly built 200-bed ESIC Hospital in Surat.
The facility features modern medical infrastructure and will provide emergency care, trauma services, laboratory facilities, and a range of secondary healthcare treatments.
The Prime Minister will also inaugurate several infrastructure projects, including upgrades to Gujarat’s power transmission network and electricity distribution systems.
Additional projects include advanced wastewater treatment facilities at Dahej PCPIR and Sarigam GIDC, along with utility infrastructure developed at the Jambusar Bulk Drug Park.
Following his Surat programme, PM Modi will travel to Daman to inaugurate the new terminal building at NAMO Airport and dedicate NAMO Hospital to the public.
The Prime Minister will also unveil and lay foundation stones for projects worth approximately Rs 2,970 crore in Daman.
Among the prominent projects are the Iconic Bridge, the Daman Convention Centre, and a new NIFT campus, which are expected to support tourism, attract investment, and generate employment.
In addition, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for four projects worth around Rs 885 crore in Lakshadweep.
