Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate to the nation and launch multiple development projects worth more than ₹17,900 crore during his visit to Andhra Pradesh on Saturday. He will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for key initiatives at the opening ceremony of the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram district.

Among the major announcements, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for Andhra Pradesh’s first semiconductor manufacturing facility in Visakhapatnam.

The ASIP Semiconductor Project, being developed by ASIP Technologies Pvt Ltd in partnership with APACT of the Republic of Korea, involves an investment of over ₹460 crore.

Approved under the India Semiconductor Mission, the facility will produce nearly 96 million semiconductor chips annually and create high-skilled employment opportunities.

PM Modi will also launch major renewable energy transmission projects.

POWERGRID will develop the Kurnool-IV Renewable Energy Zone Transmission System with an investment of around ₹5,550 crore.

In addition, PM Modi will inaugurate transmission projects worth over ₹4,370 crore in Kurnool and Ananthapuram to strengthen the National Grid and facilitate clean energy integration.

The Prime Minister will further dedicate and launch National Highway projects worth more than ₹1,880 crore. These include Greenfield highway stretches on NH-365BG, the Tadipatri Bypass on NH-67 and a high-level bridge at Lingasamudram on NH-565. These projects will improve regional connectivity, reduce travel time between Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad, ease congestion in major urban centres and support India’s energy transition by reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
