PM Modi To Kick Off Vibrant Gujarat Meet In Rajkot; Focus On Industrial Growth

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) for the Saurashtra–Kutch region on January 11 at Marwadi University in Rajkot.

The announcement was made by Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi during a press conference in Rajkot.

The conference forms part of the Vibrant Gujarat initiative and aims to attract large-scale investments to Saurashtra and Kutch, further consolidating Gujarat’s reputation as one of India’s most preferred investment destinations.

Addressing the media, Deputy Chief Minister Sanghavi said the state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, is adopting a proactive approach to resolve issues faced by both small and large industrialists.

He noted that officials are addressing concerns on the spot to help businesses expand operations and accelerate industrial growth.

As part of the preparations, the government held a coordination meeting with industrialists from the Saurashtra–Kutch region in Rajkot, along with group discussions involving various government departments.

These interactions aimed to understand industry challenges and ensure smoother implementation of policies.

Rajkot’s Role in Gujarat’s Manufacturing Push

Sanghavi described Rajkot as Gujarat’s growth engine in the manufacturing sector, highlighting its strong potential to attract domestic and international investments. He said the government successfully organised the first Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Mehsana, paving the way for the Rajkot edition.

He added that while Rajkot is progressing rapidly across manufacturing and allied sectors, direct engagement with traders, industrialists and manufacturers is essential to ensure faster development and efficient governance.

Highlighting Gujarat’s incentive-driven industrial ecosystem, Sanghavi said the state distributed ₹956.51 crore in incentives to 10,435 industrial units from Rajkot under various schemes.

He added that the government will issue approval letters worth ₹661.73 crore to 137 industrialists from Saurashtra–Kutch under textile, environmental infrastructure and small industry schemes.

He emphasised that Gujarat leads the country in the speedy disbursal of industrial incentives, with the Industries Department working continuously to further streamline the process.

Deputy Chief Minister Sanghavi expressed confidence that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Patel, Gujarat will continue to attract maximum investment and maintain a sustained path of development.

Minister-in-Charge Jitu Vaghani also welcomed the initiative, underscoring the vital role of entrepreneurs and traders in strengthening the state’s economy through close government–industry cooperation.
